1 bunch of fresh asparagus, trimmed

1 cup grated Asiago cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crispiness)

2 large eggs, beaten

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Salt to taste

Olive oil spray

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

    In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Asiago cheese, garlic powder, black pepper, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.

      In another shallow dish, place the beaten eggs.

        Take each asparagus spear and dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.

          Next, roll the egg-coated asparagus in the breadcrumb and cheese mixture until fully coated.

            Place the coated spears on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.

              Lightly spray the asparagus with olive oil spray to enhance crispiness.

                Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and the coating is golden brown and crispy.

                  Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
